Sonos Wireless System - Target Deal

Shutterstock Launches iPad App

Shutterstock has officially launched their brand new iPad app. which is available for download now at iTunes.  The application will not only allow you to search images in a mosaic type view, but you will also be able to save them to your account for quick downloads.  Also part of the application is the ability to share via email or social media sites like Twitter.  Check out the write up below from the Shutterstock team.  To sign up for Shutterstock, click here . Dreamstime Image Mapping

Dreamstime time has launched a image geo mapping feature that will allow contributors to start tagging their image locations.  You can do this by editing your images or if you have a camera that has auto GPS recording and the feature is turned on the geo tag info will be attached when you upload your new images to the site.  I can only assume that this will become a future feature for buyers will be able to near searches by.  Of course this could take a while if you have several images on the site.  Sign up for Dreamstime here .

Canon Firmware Update T1i & Mark II

Also the Canon Rebel T1i has gotten a firmware update here .  If your camera is reading 1.1.0 then you don't need the update, this can be found under the settings options...camera must be in a creative mode such as "M".  The update focuses on the two following items, follow instructions on how to update (its very easy): 1. Enhances the reliability of Live View shooting 2. Fixes incorrect indications on the Arabic, English, and Swedish menu screens Canon has released the much anticipated 2.0.3 firmware update for the Mark II , click here to get it.  However they have had users experiencing issues and will come out with a new update soon.  The link above will allow you to sign up your email address so you know when the update is out. Tamron DSLR Channel

Tamron is running a 18week series on how to improve your skills and basic understanding of the DSLR camera. The clips are about 1 min long, which is great to keep you from being overload with information and if you are tight on time. Weekly episodes start today, Jan. 18th, 2010 and will run for the next 18 weeks on every Monday. Of course Tamrons YouTube channel has several other videos to check out if you have more time on your hands and want a more in depth experience about their lens. Geavity is a great little website that lets you create a profile showing all you camera toys you own now, want and owned in the past. The website is easy to navigate and 100% free. All you do is just sign up, add any personal info you want and finally do a search for you equipment to add. I wonderful part of the website is the option to write reviews of past and new equipment. So before you go out an buy that new camera, lens, etc. I would recommend seeing what current owners thing of it. You don't have to be a member to see any of the reviews if the person sets their profile to public. A finial feature of the site is to become a photo community with adding friends and giving you the option to make comments to other users.
